They do look like ammo boxes, but they are quite small in volume - we think they would only hold around 60 rounds at best. They are the correct size for 0.50 Cal.
My friend says there were 8 of them.
There’s no manufacturers stamp but they do have the part number:
AC ET 11932
If not from a fighter, they could belong to a turret… Almost certainly American.
Hello guys, what about this SS officer’s buckle?
Some opinions please…
Thx,
K.
here’s pictures of some of my collection of Nazi era film programmes. Nazis valued film as a propaganda instrument of enormous power and used it to glorify the military, and offer escapism to the people. Although not particularly rare I love these programmes as they give an indicatation of how the Nazi propaganda machine swept the ordinary people along in this wave of militarism and excessive national pride:
Verrater! 1936
Drie Unteroffiziere 1939
Das Gewehr Uber 1939
Sieg im Weften 1941
Stukas! 1941
Spahtrupp Hallgarten 1941
Kampfgeschwader Lutzow 1941
U-Boote Westwarts 1941
