for sale Luftwaffe Double-Decal M35 Combat Helmet

by: flash developer

Description: I acquired this helmet about a year ago and posted a thread about it here:

http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/steel-helmets-3-reich/m35-double-decal-luftwaffe-29809/

This is an early-war double-decal Luftwaffe M35 combat helmet. The paint and decals are in good to very good condition. I believe the maker is Sächsische Emaillier u. Stanzwerke(SE) and the size is 62(with a size 54 liner). I don’t remember the production number on the back of the helmet. The helmet is currently in storage, so if you are seriously interested I will dig the helmet out of storage to take more detailed pictures.

The liner is dried and cracked in several areas but all the pieces are there, and the liner is complete. The last inch or so of the chin strap is broken-off but I have the broken chin strap piece and it is dated 1939(see pictures). The scotch tape that is holding parts of the liner togather was on the helmet when I acquired it so I have just left the tape on, so as not to lose any liner parts. This is a very nice, guaranteed original double-decal lufty M35 helmet. The helmet displays beautifully. The helmet was part of a grouping of vet bring-back items(see my original thread).

Payment accepted through PayPal only. Buyer pays PayPal fees, but I will pay for shipping(USPS Priority Mail) and I will also pay for shipping insurance. $1050.00

Dear All,
Please can I take this opportunity to remind everyone that whilst you are participating on this forum to conduct yourselves in a manner which is understanding and tolerant to all other members. We all come from different walks of life, have different educations and backgrounds. There is no ’standard’ when it comes to individuals and therefore everyone should be and will be treated with equal consideration and respect. Anyone found to be treating others with a lack of respect and understanding will quickly find themselves unwelcome.
Acting with arrogance and superiority over other members is unacceptable. This forum is one of the most friendly places to discuss our hobby and that is down to the membership and the way in which we conduct ourselves.
There have been instances of late which are not in the spirit of the forum where members have been acting above their station and with an air of superiority, conceit and condescension towards others. This will not be allowed to continue. It is rude, intimidating and very uncomfortable to fellow forum users.
As per the title of this thread, everyone here is equal no matter what their education standard is, their way of life, job, house etc. These things are not to brought into the forum as self perceived status symbols and will be left at the door when you log on.
Please take note of the above and if you think you might fit any of the adjectives I’ve mentioned please stop and think before you type.
Thank You.

Opinions please

I have a helmet which looks great on the inside. Looks untouched and original to me. The lacing cord may not be ( looks like a shoelace ). It is marked DA223 in the rear and Q66 on the side. Inside there is a name which I believe was the soldier who brought it home to the US, Lt CHESLEA. Unfortunately someone painted it black and added some really bad stickers on the outside. I plan on trying to remove the black paint with paint remover and hopefully get to the original color. Any help on ID and paint removal ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Burt
