As in my earlier thread I thought I was going to view a SMLE mk3 today, however when I got there it turned out to be a No4 Mk 1. The rifle is in very good condition old spec de activation carried out sympathetically. It was made by the Royal ordinance factory, is fitted with the correct zinc but plate and comes with a pig sticker bayonet.
Can anyone advise what market value is for this rifle. I will post pictures when we get a less overcast day.
Gentlemen….something we have not touched upon as yet, boots and shoes of the Bundeswehr ! many varieties of boots and shoes have been issued/worn within the BW from jackboots to sports pumps !…lets see yours and discuss…I will start with the only pair to date I have, a pair of 1983-1993 Kampfstiefel (Combat boots) these have a welded or glued rubber sole, previous models can be distinguished by their sewn on soles, they are black…as BW boots had been since 1978, prior to that they had been brown (from 1971)…..a distinctive patterned sole (see photos) marked with "Delta" the manufacturer, being for the BW. These go well with my 1980’s Panzergrenadier display. I also show with a pair of 1962 Gaiters, these were worn well into the 1980’s and are virtually the same pattern as the WW2 originals.
Prost ! Steve.
I don’t collect Japanses items but I picked up these few as a group a few years ago. There is a ‘maetball’ flag with Kanji, three photos and a handful of paper money.
I must confess my ignorance if I have the flag upside down but I really have no idea which way it goes.

I received this object from an older guy in his early 70’s who told me he had it from his father. I guess it dates from the 50’s or late 40’s. It’s very well made and the fuselage is made from two or three parts and the wings fit in slots. It’s all made in aluminium except the base plate which is in brass.
Has any of you seen such object before? Any idea if it’s worth something? All info is welcome. I looked for marks etc, but there are none. It’s about 20 cm’s high or 8inches from base to top.
