Introducing my Smith and Wesson M1917 revolver and accessories.

I got this nice M1917 revolver from the same guy as the previously posted M1911A1 pistol. It is sorta unique as it still has the beautiful, bright, polished, factory finish along with the case hardening on the hammer and trigger. Most of the revolvers were reworked and refinished sometime after WWI, but I would say this one has remained unfired. I say this due to the fact that there is no discoloring at the chamber mouths or the feed ramp itself. Lastly, there is no brass colored ring or any wear/discoloring around the firing pin hole in the frame.

The group picture is the pistol along with some WWI/WWII web gear, holsters and accessories. The holster on the web belt is the standard WWI M1909 version, with the butt forward. The other two separate holsters are the M2 and M4 model holsters that were manufactured during WWII. BTW. The cleaning rods are the three different lengths made by Smith and Wesson along with the original box. The blue ammo box with the hard to read label is a box of .45 blanks.

My Cherry WWII Colt 1911A1 Pistol which is the centerpiece of my WWII weapons collection

I bought this pristine 1911A1 .45 pistol from a fellow collector over 20 years ago. It is a Colt manufactured version and by the serial number it was made sometime in 1942. It is early enough in the Colt production that the serial number is also stamped on the slide under the firing pin retainer plate. They stopped doing this later in the production series. All indications are that this pistol was never fired, which the prior owner also believed.

The group picture is the pistol along with some mint WWII web gear, holsters and accessories. The M7 shoulder holster is a BOYT made, USMC marked and 1945 dated.

Unissued WWII Victory .38 Special Pistol with a grouping of web gear, holsters and accessories.

I bought this pristine Victory pistol from the OGCA show in Cleveland, Ohio quite a few years ago. Condition is special, but what was interesting was the story that came with it. It supposedly was surplused after WWII to a police department in Ohio. It was never issued by the police department and eventually was sold off to the person I bought it from. It still had a few traces of cosmoline or hardened grease on it when I bought it. Note the nice case hardening remaining on the hammer and trigger. Also on the top strap is an ordinance mark and "U.S Property G.H.D" stamped faintly.

The group picture is the pistol along with some WWII web gear, holsters and accessories, along with the somewhat scarce Navy Property ammo pouches. The pistol lanyard is what has been called recently the USMC pistol lanyard. I bought a quantity of them many years ago when they were known then as the “What the hell are these?” lanyard.
