Need help please!

I saw this on another site, it is claimed to be a veterans badge or medal, but it has the date 1788 on it, which doesn’t mean anything to me in regards to the Kyffhässer organisation. I’ve never seen a veterans medal like this, has anyone else? It has a pin on the rear.

Question Solingen Personal Straight Blade Razor Value?

Here’s a nice straight blade razor I picked up recently. Solingen marked (ERN, Solingen-Wald) and nice original etui. I saw one similar blade on a website for sale at 150 Euros that wasn’t Solingen and in worse condition so I just wondered if anybody has any idea of the value of a razor such as mine? I am not looking to sell it but it would be interesting to know. The item was owned by the same person I acquired an early pattern S.A. desk eagle from.

Any help would be appreciated.

color consistency between original german/east german uniform

hello, my name is josh.

i have a question that I figured would best be answered here. i would like to know how similar in color, and color alone, east german uniforms are to original WWII era german uniforms. i noticed that there seems to be different colors adopted through out the war, and im sure that could factor in. but it looks like field grey was the most common color. so are field green tunics off WWII era very similar in color to east german uniforms

for example, would an original german heer visor cap match (in color) an east german tunic? advice from anyone, especially those who have personaly dealt with the uniforms is appreciated.

and on another note, did wermacht officers wear grey breeches instead of a matching greyish green like their tunics? if so, was it only seen on certain ranks or on every man?
