There are no marks at all on it,the blade is 17.75 inches,OAL is 23.5 inches,inside diameter of ring is 1 inch,any help appreciated.

So, I’m in New Mexico now and me and my Grandma went to a few Military surplus type stores and I found a Ike jacket with a 1st Armored Div insignia, but when looking up the 1st Armored I found that they were disbanded in 1946 then regrouped in the early 1950’s, now to my biggest concern, the jacket is dated 1948. So I’m wondering if this is a mock up or was just a spare jacket they put the insignia on in 1950’s? I’d take photos but I don’t have an upload cord with me at the moment. Would like to hear your guys input on this

I know you can pick up the second and third type Swiss M1918’s for a dollar a dozen but how about the first type, with a continuous ring liner?

Also, I think I read someplace that the first type where only made with a smooth finish and painted light green and they NEVER came in black. Can anyone substantiate this?

I ran across a First Type today, first one I’ve ever seen myself but I don’t know how uncommon they are or if they are worth anything. I’m doing a little internet digging but always interested in the expert opinions on here.
