Question Early SS, Panzer or just fake?

Hey guys,

Long-time fan of the site and first time poster! I value your opinions and wanted to see if you could help me identify an impulse buy item from a militaria auction. Yep, its another silly skull… Normally, I do all the research on any item before a purchase but like all novice Third Reich collectors, saw a skull up to bid and I wanted it. Needless to say, I didn’t do my homework until after winning the bid (yep, pretty stupid). I know there are endless SS fakes out there but I took the risk and luckily, I didn’t pay very much for the thing. I wanted to see if this could even be an original. It looks alot like the early SS or maybe panzer skull or it could just a paki fake. It has no maker marks and is very aged on front and especially the back.

Is this original or just an example of "you got what you paid for"? notcool
(sorry for the pics but its the best I can get )

Help…:b:.

Attachment 225426

Do these eyes match correctly with early SS?

Attachment 225425

Very aged in the back

I’ll admit, it looks better up close and does not appear to be a cast.

Thanks guys cool militaria

Madman

Need help! Battledress 15 Lancers - what do you make of this one?

Gentlemen

This is for sale on ebay. What do you make of it? Are they 15th Lancers collar patches? Sorry not the greatest of photographs but I don’t think I like it - have there been later additions. Do the rank stars look odd? and the collar patches……

Many thanks

James

Beaded M40 Luftschutz FOUND IN GARBAGE!

Hello all!

It has happened again. This time, it appears I saved a beaded M40 Luftschutz from the scrap heap. I do not remember the batch number off hand, but it was an ET64

Now for the bad news… idk which is worse…

It appears as if the helmet had been painted over with black, and some hideous fantasy decals have been applied.

Also… we didn’t spot this lid until it was too late. It looked like it was originally in perfect condition, but it didn’t survive the grinder unscathed.

My questions:
Is it authentic? Can it be restored? What is it’s value?

Unfortunately, I am leaving soon for the first leg of my trip to Italy. I do not know if I will be able to obtain better photos until AFTER I return.

THANKS!

P.S. This came in on the same load:

Wehrmacht Heer Rucksack - Original ?

Bought this small rucksack from a friend at the weekend. He tells me its Heer and belonged to his grandfather. A couple of questions, first, is it original ? does anyone have any information on the triangle with the letters EH marking on the clip, thirdly the leather branding at the top of the rucksack is just not quite readable anymore. Do members have any ideas how I can bring the branding mark up a little - to read it. I’ve tried rubbing talc powder on it, but it doesn’t help. Any information or ideas welcome.
Regards
