Named dd m35 luft
This is my dd m35 luft, former winter camo?, is it posible to research this particular soldier, any help would be appreciated.

Żołnierze 3 Dywizji Strzelców Karpackich
I found recently some information on a soldier of the 3 Dywizji Strzelców Karpackich that has a surname of extreme rarity in Poland which im doing a family historical research for.
Im wondering what avenues there are to take in finding out more about a particular soldier and if records are available from the Polish Army in the West archives in the uk.

As only 96 people exist in Poland today with this name im working on the idea that any one with this name is worth finding out more about….. Also could Alim be an abbriviation, becuase i have no idea what sort of name that is….. Sort of Tartar or caucasus souding

Südfront Zeltbahn - Up for review ?
Hi,
Attended the local military collectors club last saturday evening, bought a fair bit of WW2 German equipment. The piece shown came from one of the collectors who described it as a Südfront Zeltbahn, I don’t have any reason to doubt him. The zeltbahn has been repaired and has few buttons missing, along with two marking - ?734 ADC??XXVI and AD Abt. 282/4. Obviously Abt. = Abteiling but the rest ? perhaps members have a idea, looked through a number military forums without finding another one like mine, I would be grateful if members could confirm if its Südfront / Poncho or exactly what it is, any further information would be useful.

WW2 Gunnery range - First official video !
Hi all
I am pleased to announce the release of the first OFFICIAL video for the WW2 relic Retrieval and Preservation Group (RRPG).

This shows some of the finds we made on a visit to a gunnery range in England. In attendance were Steve T, Whitehunter, Luckystrike, Jayh and Dangermouse.
It was a great day and a good start for the group.

1941, not returning back to Germany…
Here is another unique German passport issued in China. Interesting he was preparing to return and did not do so since war broke out with the USSR a week later, thus cutting off his route home: from end of 1939 to May 1941 most Germans returning/going to and from China was via the Siberian way, crossing over from Manchuria into Russia, all ended after June 1941. He only got back home way after the war ended…
