hey guys, i won a nice korean war/ early NAM para liner, and im trying to find a m1c shell to go with it, but what is the difference between the m1 and m1c shells?

Took some pictures of my favorite uniform. I didn’t post in the 39 uniform section as there is a discussion going on that I didn’t want to disrupt.

This one I keep at the office as this is where I spend most of my time and it generates much discussion as people pass through - I get to teach a little Polish history.

This one came from a friend in the U.S. He called one Friday night describing a uniform for sale from a dealer from Krakow. He gave the entire description of the mountain division type, the eagle feather etc, and as the price was decent I had him buy it for me and send it up.

It wasn’t until I received it did I put every thing together and discovered that the tunic belonged to the 11th division–one to which my grandfather belonged to in 1939. My grandfather was in the infantry, not artillery, but still the same division and the closest I will probably ever get to owning the type of uniform he would have had.

My buddy gave me this lid a while back. I’m kinda mad at this helmet right now, though.:mad: It fell off my shelf and broke the glass display case I had below it:weep:! Oh well, The next day(yesterday) I happened upon a bigger, better display case that was discarded on the sidecool militariawalk!

I am just now reviving an interest in 3rd reich items. My last price guide book I purchased was the Brian Lumsdem book in the mid 1990’s. So I am a little shocked at the asking prices of some german helmets on the web. I am assuming a lot of these may be rare models, so can someone please help me find a website that gives a "general price range" for relatively common ww2 german items like "plain vanilla" steel helmets (and hopefully other items!!)??? I know most of these items are fakes but this one is sold for very cheap price and seller gives no guarantee that this item can be original. Text is also very strange, Adolf got coffee as a gift from Imam of Yemen and sends it to some friend (name is not mentioned). What do You think?
