Hello everyone,
I couldn’t find a part in the forum where you could post your rings.
I have a friend whose grandfather brought this ring back from the war. He wants to know if it’s original and if a Heer soldier wore it or SS, luftwaffe, Kreigsmarine etc. All thoughts on the ring are welcome.
Thanks,
Callum.
I purchased this m38 gasmask and canister from Dave Shirlin at germanhelmets.com this canister has had the outside repainted and has the US vets name who brought the canister home written on the lid. Dave Shirlin did not know if it was a war time paint over or a postwar paint over.So my question is has anyone ever seen this shade of green used before on german field equipment.Quite a few years ago I remember reading a couple of articles on a paint used in Normandy called GPR green that was applied to either HEER or WEHRMACHT helmets or field equipment cant remember which trying to find the article again but cant remember which book it was in.Any imput positive or negative would be welcome thanks for the help.
I have a chance to buy this HJ knife, but I want some opinions on to whether or not it is real and also to a decent price to offer. I think the blade has been worked–sharpened–or something because the wording is gone! But, any opinions would be great. thanks!
Here are some photos i took today… Unfortunately i couldn’t find anything special inside except of a lot of debris… The only interesting find was an inscription on the rock over something that could easily would have been a machine gun opening on the rock at some time. The inscription says "1944"…
I found this helmet for sale on a website and it is described as a WW2 medical helmet. What do you think? It has the tabs for a neck protector-like a fireman’s helmet. What is a reasonable price?

Appears to have been painted dont know why? The leather is stamped with a black 55 in a circle and on the chin strap it marked ?????BECK NURNBERG 1941
