Thisw looks unused internally and I guessmuch of the marking has come from storage?

I’ve been a long time lurker but a newbie to the art of collectible war memorabilia.
I picked up this helmet that looks like it’s a WW2 British mk II. On the strap lugs its stamped 1942 and above that the mark II. The int. liner has the letters CCL below that the numbers 11, the year 1945 and the size 7 1/4. What confuses me is that I can’t find the makers mark for the steel lid itself. I don’t know if the sand and brown paint application has cover it but I’ve looked everywhere. Did the British leave the stamp off on some or is this a reissue from another common wealth country? Any thoughts? Thanks.
