Help to ID People and Places in Austria Photos

A friend of mine, Calvin Johnson, aquired roll after roll of negatives from an estate sale. All of them Nazi photos in and around Marchegg Austria….we think. Any help identifying the people or places would be greatly appreciated. He has several more rolls that have not been developed yet and I hope to post some more soon. Thanks in advance, Richard

Polish Commando Chronicles

Whilst reading through the Chronicles of the Polish 2nd Motorised Commando Battalion.

I came across this poem written in the Battalion Chronicles whilst it was stationed at Watton.

Can you hear that Pole in his Army Boots,
Coming down the street in his Khaki Suit,
With his bright green tie and his bright green hat,
Did you ever see an English Boy dressed like that?
Can you see that Pole who’s standing there?
With his eyes so blue and his curly hair,
Be at Watton bus stop at quarter past ten,
Every time I go to Watton to meet my boy,
I’m sure my heart does jump with joy,
He’s standing there so neat and slick,
Diabooshy Mackochane, Kiss me quick,
The Hull folk think we are sad,
Because we love a Polish lad,
But if they knew what they’d gone through,
Then they’d love the Polish Soldiers too,
Every time we go to Watton,
The English boy’s they are forgotten.

There was no name to give any indication of who wrote this.

Need help! Human Skin Lampshade

Hey, guys, first time poster here, so I will not be surprised if I’m completely posting in the wrong area. Sorry about that! Perhaps admins could escort this thread elsewhere if it’s in the wrong area??

Title probably caught your eye; Human Skin Lampshade… so here’s the story.
Old lady in my Grandma’s building passed away and her husband was getting rid of some stuff. My sister was checking out this cool looking old lamp and she said she would take it, but my Grandma gave her a nudge and quickly pointed out she wouldn’t want it because it was made of human skin and was made from Jewish people in the concentration camps. It was definitely old, and my sister could see that it was somewhat crudely stitched. The threading used, in fact, was made of the same leathery material stretched across the lamp shade, and according to the old man, the thread was fashioned from thin cuts of skin too.
Now, my Grandmother and this old guy really aren’t ones to kid around, and this old lady did have a lot of other stuff from the war, as well. My sister poked around on the internet trying to find information on this elusive lamp, and she’s getting all these odd results like "priceless lamps" that people are making out to be more myth than fact, when this old guy has it sitting in his living room.

Of course, this COULD be all a hoax, but it’s very similar to this lampshade, which is made of human skin:

I’d like to add that I am aware that the fact that it’s made of human skin definitely means that it should be given a proper burial for the sake of respect towards the person it came from. But I am interested to see if anyones seen or heard anything like it. I was surprised to hear that it’s THAT much of a rarity, as I’ve heard different cases of peoples skins being made into wallets (Antoine Le Blanc of NJ, etc), therefore it’s not that hard for me to believe that this would happen as gruesome as it is.

Input, anyone? And again, I apologize if this is, and probably is, in the wrong section.

A courious SS helmet

Attachment 185101Attachment 185102Attachment 185100Attachment 185103Hello Guys,
today I post a curious SS helmets of a friend of mine, that has a cut off “visor”. Some collectors speculate that could be for muslims volunteer corps of SS, as there where helmets like that for Turkish armed forces in WWI. Does anyone have any suggestions or news about it?.
Thanks.
