WW2 Officers leather map / document case and contents

Unfortunately I don’t know a lot about this piece. I bought it with all of the contents, including the original pencil and pencil sharpener. I assume that it is a private purchase piece (unless anybody can tell me different) and the documents it contains obviously relate to Far East campaign (given the reference to Punjabs and Mahrattas).
If anybody has a thoughts as to who it belonged to (i.e, rank, regiment, etc - there is no name written in it that I can find) or has any comments with regards to the documents please post away!

What is this German Item? Flag? Banner? Cover? Tent? I don’t have a clue…

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what forum to post this in but here goes…

The fabric is a very thick burlap-like material. It’s two-sided(marked on both sides) and obviously cut from a larger piece. From wingtip to wingtip is 13 inches. From wreath to the top of the eagle’s head is 8 inches.

I’m assuming the brown stains are rust… Not sure what would dried blood look like after 65+ years?… and I don’t want to know.

Australian Vietnam MI?

Hi, I bought this M1 from an Australian military surplus shop in 1976 or 1977 - I’ve always assumed it was Australian Vietnam issue but it could easily be US. I would appreciate any comments on the shell or liner. The only mark on the shell is P with GC underneath. The liner band has a DSA 100 number but I can’t see a date. Liner manufacturer is US 133. Thanks Terry

Books I found today.

I don’t know if this is the right place for this and it’s not all that important I guess but I’m a happy camper.
I found the following 3 hard cover books in mint condition today and only paid $17.32 for the lot …

Just tons of pictures. Yes, many are repeated but many are not.
I’m looking at mostly using them for uniform and insignia identification to see how they really looked in battle.

That’s all I got, thought I’d share,
Rudy
