WW2 buffs,
I just posted a unpublished combat account from Corporal White of the 29th Marines on the site below "on the tip of the spear" he’s really descriptive about killing the enemy and combat gear usage while in combat on Okinawa. He’s still kicking and into rifle matchshooting, I just got his file on his post war China experiances but haven’t read it yet. Hope you like it!

Hello everybody. I´m new to this community and I decided to join it after reading large amount of posts here and it looks like a nice and helpful community to learn about German helmets. I’m fascinated by history and particularly in the second world war. I really want to learn about these helmets as much as I can and I can’t wait to get one myself (original of course). But my knowledge about these this is really restricted at this point of time :).

I would really appreciate if someone could clear this up for me. I really would want this to be a real helmet but I have my doubts.

The trade badges from my collection are now sorted and identified (do I hear a big sigh?)

As with the rest of my collection the articles are all in mint unissued condition.

Hope you like.

I think I probably have a large proportion of the basic badges with the seagoing boat personel badge being the pick, along of course with the parachute/pilot/observer and wireless operators badges; 3 of which are of the padded variety.

There are a smattering of NCO and Outstanding Performance badges to add a bit of sparkle.

Prices are fairly widely available for these badges given their easy availability so I think this part of the process is probably now complete.

I suspect in due course this would make the basis of a very nice starter collection for someone.

Hey everyone, i need some help with this shoulder board. I believe it is either a Signals or Cavalry shoulder board, leaning more towards Cavalry. My question is, is this a repro or an original item? the dealer says it is from his personal collection and that is 100% original or he will give me my money back ……. i know pictures are never as good as holding the real thing, but opinions are greatly needed! Thanks guys!
