i have in my possession a shot glass (jigger) that i have been told was given to members that served on the bismarck battleship. it was made by alpacca. if anyone could help me identify this item it would be appreciated. i am attaching photos. thanks
This was sent to me by a collector buddy, saying i might be interested. He said that the seller gives a complete refund if not original WW2 cap and insignia. Like i have said before, i am just getting into this lifestyle, and i love it, love the history ! However i have alot to learn. Red flags fly for me for various reasons. The skulls right eye (when looking at pics ), seems to droop to much. The stitching seems to new. Also i believe the vent holes would be metal, not fabric. I contacted the seller, he said his camera made the pics look way to bright, he said the cap was faded and the stitching was yellowing. Anyway, i really do like the cap, but am not sure if it is original. Ade and Bob have saved my ass more than once! Any help would be appreciated !!!!!!!!!
hi guys, recently i was told a story of a transport ship that was carrying tiger tanks to Africa for use by the Africa corps. it was sunk of Gibraltar and was wondering has anyone ever heard of it being located and if so what was the condition of its cargo….cheers Paul
Hey, guys. My buddy just showed me this buckle he might want to make a go for. I am really not sure about it and would value your opinions. It is apparently advertised as a brass Kriegsmarine. These are not really my thing thus far and the only other original brass ones I have seen are one-piece examples. I have combed through the rogues gallery and the closest thing I could find is a buckle that Ben posted on P. 8, #72. From the reverse, this buckle appears to me fairly convincing as does it's overall aged appearance. Perhaps original or yet another for the rogues gallery...
