My Personal War Souvenirs

Hello All,
Thought I would share some of the Argy "souvenirs" I brought back from the Falklands in 1982 where I served as a rifleman/ sniper in the 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment.
The Items I picked up at Goose Green and Wireless Ridge we were the only Battalion to fight in two battles.
They cosist of the following;
1, An officers sword (Same style as the German Issue)
2, Two FAL FN Bayonets
3, Two 1909 Machettes (We called them trench swords)
4, A 1909 pat Bayonet (I got this from an Argy Sniper who was using an old Mauser)
I will post more photos of each piece over the next few days
i hope you like them

Jim

Swiss And German Splinter Patterns

G’day All,

I figured to post this - A couple of shots of German & Swiss WW2 splinter pattern comparisons. Swiss camouflage is commonly used to deceive camouflage collectors. Left and top is German and both are German made.
