Need help! Attempting to research father’s service history & related info (by Newbie)

I have a picture of my father circa 1945/46 in Polish Uniform (assume American Command) last served in Bamburg, Germany with Occupation Forces but after demobilization emigrated to Australia in 1949. Can anyone advise reliable interpretation of shoulder patch insignia - I think its a Salamander denoting a Polish Guard Company - but any advice would be appreciated. Dad rarely spoke of his experiences during the war and now has dementia at 83 yo.
Thanks

HELP! Is this damaged Luft Abzeichen genuine, and worth adding to a collection?

I have seen this Abzeichen which is sold damaged. Is it a real one, and what value would you place on it? - not sure if I could afford a good undamaged one! Picture quality not great. Marked CE Junker-Berlin. It looks better than some I have seen, but I am still a newbie and prefer to ask for your guidance first!

Need help! FJ M38 Helmet Shell + M42 Heer Camo — Good or not?

Hey guys.

While browsing around the Internet, I recently found this Fallschirmjager M38 helmet shell: Tropical bread bag strap

I also found another M42 Heer camo helmet: WW2 Named German M42 Green Camouflaged Army Helmet CKL66 | WW2 German Helmets, WWII Japanese Helmets, WW2 US Helmets!

Are either of these helmets real or fake? Some help would be most desirable!

Okay here we go item number one:

A WW2 Spink Silver Cross of Merit medal in its original case. The case has a velveteen moulded lining and is generally more deluxe than its counterpart the bronze Cross of merit. The silk lined top half of the case bears the name of the manufacturer. This particular example belonged to W. Samira Lt. Colonel 4th Scorpions

luftwaffe helmet

This helmet has been in our family for years. What do you think of it? What model is it and is there a way to determine what kind of unit it comes from?

Is 30-06 M2Ball from 1940 rare?

Two rounds from the 30-06 I bought at a gunshow are dated 1940 with the headstamp of B N 4 40 so I’m wondering if it has collector value as I plan on shooting the ammo I bought
