Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse mit Schwertern

Hi Gents, thought I’d show you my latest arrival!
A lovely Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1 Klasse mit Schwertern with all of the silvering remaining. It is not maker marked but can be identified as a ‘62′ Kerbach & Österheld. Cheers for looking! :)

Steel Cockade, and stars

Tovarischi;

Below are three pictures of a cockade, and two cloth stars I recently acquired. The Cockade the large size, and is steel. It is partially rusty, but is magnetic. The two cloth stars are smaller, one is embroidered, the other is "silk screened" onto the drab fabric, but both are then sealed with some sort of water proof sealer.

Can anyone tell me what the two small fabric stars would have been used for?
