Aviation Museum in Sintra

Hi, today went to the aviation museum, its located in the airforce base nº1, and the main area is inside 3 hangars, but hangar nº2 and nº3 were closed for cleaning and repairs.
The photos are from hangar nº1.
Enjoy
Cheers.

Question WW2 RAF Officer Cap or Post war??

Hi,

I found this RAF officer cap but i’m not sure its a ww2 period or just a post war with original king’s crown.

What you think about it??

It’s been awhile since my last post but I would like any information on the 6th Bavarian Infantry Division, especially around 27.2.15. All information is appreciated.

Never Before Seen In Public WW2 Photos

Here is a story behind these photos:

I have recently been blessed to have these in my possession.

These photos were in a burnt out building and dug out of the garbage.
This fire was in an apartment complex and there was literally tons of garbage and these were saved by a family member of mine.

My boy and i are war nuts in a way.My family knows this lol. Old things and the internet are my thing. So I thought it was ironic for me to get a hold of these photos. I believe it was for me to put them out there for the world to see.

A most interesting Schirmmutze!

Recently posted by Curtiss on the WAF.
An Artillery cap from the Reichswehr, early Wehrmacht period that has obvious influences of the Imperial era also. Interesting to note the huge unmarked celluloid shield, the biggest I’ve ever seen.

Infanterie Sturmabzeichen im silber

Hi Gents the final award I’ve been waiting for to complete my medal display arrived today. It’s an un-marked magnetic Infanterie Sturmabzeichen im silber with most of the wash still remaining. Although it’s not maker marked it can be attributed to the maker Sohni, Heubach & Co (SHuCo) from Oberstein.
Thanks for taking the time to look!!
Jay :)
