Brit MkIII… ready for D-Day

Dear fellows, It’s a pleasure to be here, since this forum seems to be the most active on British helmets in the whole web: lot of gentlemen with noticeable knowledge on this topic; now I wish to show you my MkIII: everything looks correct, but I’ll wait for your opinions. I just added the camo net and shell dressing, which seem also original. There is not any visible marking on the shell, while the liner, as you can see, is well marked…
TIA in advance

Fallschirmjäger video

a very interesting video of the Fallschirmjäger training

YouTube - German Paratrooper - Fallschirmjäger (Grüne Teufel) Training in WWII

S.S. - Variant Design

Attached are images of a remarkably peculiar and yet, well documented as original, early nickle silver SS buckle.

It is not my penchant to buy ground excavated and "restored" buckles, however this chap is extremely rare and in any condition.

Any comments as always, would be greatly be welcome.

Regards,

David

S.S. - Nickle Silver on Brass

Attached are images of perhaps a not seldom seen SS variant by an unknown manufacturer, being nickle silver on brass.

My thanks to Jean-Pierre for personally validating this buckle.

David

Need help! Rabbit Fur Winter Cap…Thoughts???

Hi guys! I came across this cap and have my doubts for obvious reasons (i.e. the sewn on eagle emblem for one). That being said, since I’ve never researched these, and cannot find anything on them in my research materials, thought I’d post it here for some feedback before I turn it down.

Thanks!!
Dzyner

Tropenhelm (pith helmet) makers marks in pictures

This is a list in pictures of some of the Tropenhelm makers used by the Germans during the TR period.
Some of these are from my own collection, though most were borrowed from a variety of sources, including ebay and this and other forums. I assume that it was ok to use these images and if they are yours I thank and hope you dont mind.

If anyone has others not included so far, can you please add your images.

Thanks,

Jerry
