A volunteer researcher from the Royal Museum of Army and Military History ( Brussels ) gave me hundreds of pictures about the R.A.F. during the Second World War. I’ve find among them this picture. It’s a Norwegian pilot who flew probably with 331 or 332 " Norwegian " Squadron.
Unfortunately… I don’t know his identity and where he was posted as well.
There is anybody who has informations about this pilot?
I have somehow managed to pick up 4 of these over the years and never really thought much of them. I believe one is DAK issue and has a name written in grease pencil, one case is almost disintergrated, but I found a makers mark on the paper packet!
Not as sexy as a bayonet or a M35, but still a interesting piece of disposable kit!
I was left this dagger by my Grandfather when he died and I can't for the life of me figure out when and where it was from. Any help Identifying it would be greatly appreciated.
I found a button in a field near an Australian Cemetary in Fromelles on a recent trip and need help in identifying it.
I think it is brass and is approx. 17mm diam. and 5mm thick. There is a design of some sort on the domed face but can’t read due to corrosion. On the other side there is stamped lettering which I think reads "COOKE BROs LTd" and other letters and full stops which can’t be read. .
Any help would be appreciated.
