Just got this unusual HJ fanfare banner…opinions?

Attachment 158427Attachment 158428Attachment 158429Attachment 158430I just picked up this fanfare banner from a private party. Has anyone seen one like it? It is in very good condition and blacklight tests OK. On the HJ board, a member translated the maker as Tha Calico Manufactury located in Southern Germany near Austria. I believe the town is Heistenhelm at the Brenz. All the writing is embroidered and the fringe is some kind of metal.

Question anyone know anything about this knife?

My grandmother just recently gave me this knife that belonged to my great grandfather. he was in the service in ww2 but he never went to battle. he was stationed on one of the elizabeth islands off of the massachusetts coast and was part of the C.C.C (not sure what it stands for). I’m just wondering if anyone could provide me with an idea about this knife. the picture of the belt shows that it says "U.S. J.Q.M.D 1945". I did some searching, and i found that J.Q.M.D is a company that makes weapon holsters and ammo pouches (correct me if I’m wrong). if you could also maybe tell me the value of this that would be great.

Question M17 Chicken wire Helmet

I posted this helmet a while back. At the time I was told that I should remove the chicken wire.

I think the helmet is what it is is, it is named, was used in WW1, reissued and maybe some bored soldier put the chicken wire on. I beleirev removing the chicken wire would losse some of the history to this helmet. I bought it with my eyes wide open, if the chicken wire isnt fair dinkum, it doesnt matter, the helmet is what it is, and will remain that way whilst I own it. I am a big believer of not mucking with items I have, if they are wrong, they are wrong, who knows it could be fair dinkum for all I know.

The main thing is I like it, if i sell it on, I will explain the full situation to a prospective buyer, I never misrepresent.

I post it here again to get some more discussion on it. Enjoy

ss-panzer officer’s M43 cap..Tell me what you think!

I picked this up about eight years ago at a local flea market for $20.00 and it came with two unissued BeVo's, a skull and an eagle.........unfortunatly they got lost in the move. At least i have the cap! The skull featured here is a repro until i can get a real one. If more photos need to be posted ,let me know!

My Meager Collection

Hi guys, I'm a younger militaria collector, so my collection isn't super big or rare, but I love seeing the stuff that you all post and wanted to share what I have collected over the last year or so. WORD OF WARNING: my digital camera recently died, so I had to use my laptop's camera, which didn't have the best results. So, please don't comment just to complain about pic quality, I'll try to get some better pictures soon, but I'm just excited to share because my friends have zero interest in or context for any of this stuff! I also wanted to take the opportunity to thank you gents for contributing to this forum, I really learn a lot whenever I peruse the threads.cool militaria

What did I find?

I got this for $1, knowing full well that it probably is just a rusty old kilt fastner, but it sort of reminded me of Ost Leute medals. Can anyone identify this?
thanks!
