Here is my only cuff ranked tunic i bought off Blunderbuss a few years back . It came out of French Theatrical costumiers ,and is only half lined inside. The cuffs have wear to the ranking braid ,and the weave, colour is markedly different to most Barathea made SD Tunics ive handled from the 1940s . The equipment build up is an ongoing project , still looking for an officers haversack and map case from great war. The India pattern officers canteen is aluminium and of course much flimsier than the troops pattern. The belt is dated 1916 ,and the binocular case 1915. The compass case is marked to Royal Field Artillery.
I bought this hand drawn in ink and wash monochromw plate showing French style early Polish Army Uniforms . I dont know much more about this Legion other than they fought the Red Army during the Civil War ,turning back the red tide !The plate is old . on paper mounted on card ,and is signed by a Russian Artist .
Can anyone say more about this please ?
