If I am not wrong, it is the main part of the buckle, for the Manchurian Boy-Scouts movement. Found it what was once the capital: Xinjing (now Changchun city).
I brought back from France a rare French Mannlicher Berthier Mle 1892 carbine which has a few interesting markings on it, and i wonder if anyone can answer me what they may mean:
On the stock of the rifle is a stamp of what looks like a crown over the letter H, but im not sure. Any ideas?
There is an F infront of the weapons number, anyone know what it means?, also, is it possible to follow which regiment this rifle belonged to, from the rifles number, which is printed all over the weapon? (number is 86194)
just as an interest, if you look closely at the wooden stock below the barrel on which the factory signature and model make is indicated, you'll notice that someone has notched their initials into the wood, can't quite make out the second letter, but the first is definitly a D. A French soldier perhaps? :)
Hello, My father was a P-38 pilot stationed at RAF Warmwell in 1944. He was shot down over France on July 6, 1944 but was hidden by the resistance until American units liberated him in August. Recently I was reviewing his medals and insignia and came across a patch of a boot with a wing. It is not a U.S. Military Insignia. Can anyone identify it in the attachment? Thank you.
Hello guys,
This M38 would have to be in the best of condition and appears to be unused since the war and it came straight from a top dealer in Germany who buys house lots:shok_yikes: It has a makers mark and size 57 inside coupled by the right material and pattern and yes the soutache is 100% correct. This would have to be the rarest type being purple (not blue) for smoke troops and would suit the very best of collectors. Please let me know if you require any further photos and i will send them to you no problems. The buyer will be very pleased with this one or his money back and its in the best shape ive ever seen:) My asking price is $750.00cool militaria
Hello everyone:
I have this small group which belonged to Ralph Tuccillo, a Second Lieutenant Air Corps United States Army
It consists of the ID card with personal details and fingerprints, Officer's Pay Data Card, leather bag to store documents and one of the Dog Tag (not magnetic):
Hello everyone:
Dog tag I have these in my collection:
Lowell l. Yeryar: (poor print)
Robert F. Kuck: (Officer)
Arthur J. Gilbert: (brass material)
Romeo Chagnon:
All the names I have found on the website NARA - AAD - Main Page, but have not found the name of Robert F Kuck, I think on this website are not the names of Officers.....
How can you differentiate between a true or false Dog Tag? There are many reproductions on the market....
If there is any problem with these Dog Tag, please let me know
Thanks and regards
