Car boot find; US ‘43 canteen

Picked this canteen up this morning at a car boot sale.
I know it’s far from being complete, even missing the cap, but it has a name engraved, and that made it interesting enough to buy for 2 euros.
Ran the name through the NARA files, but nothing came up.
Maybe somebody else used it after the war?
Anyway, it reads CONESSA.
Oh well, I’ll put it on Fleabay and get my 2 euros back!

I picked this one up a while back. Its a 1953 European (Belgian, I think) M1. Its a 'tribute' piece for sure but it looks good so I thought I would post a couple of photo's for your viewing pleasure :D
