Hi I am new to WW1 German medals bought these from ebay recently do they seem correct to you,I read in description that iron cross should go before Bavarian medal ,but Bavarians did not always follow this rule any views welcome.
I have a chance to get this, and was wondering what you all think of this, it seems correct, the screw on type pins on the back, and the solid nose, and the details seems to be spot on.
I know if this turns out to authentic, i could get some crap from others for showing the coveted back.
What would the value be at, considering the back plate, and screws are missing.
Please let me know.
Thanks
Brian
I have an opportunity in the next day to buy an ArmBand and Flag supposedly of NAZI type. What do I look for to determine authenticity.
I have a CCCP Crest which belonged to my husband's grandfather who was captured by the Soviets and was not executed because he was a civil engineer and they needed to build roads. We don't know exactly where he got this or what it was originally attached to, possibly a flag. We were told that this could be worth over $500 and would like to know if anyone agrees with this.
It appears to be made of crushed velvet and possibly silk. It was clearly hand made.
Remember these two in the movie????.............Dave H
came all out from Munich.
my great uncles brother Staff Sgt. Joseph W. Edwards served in the korean war. while setting explosives on a bridge he was shot in the leg crawled away and destroyed the bridge. he was later sent home with a bronze star and a purple heart and other souvenirs while in occupied japan. His ex wife took the star:weep: but we still have the ribbon. only have one pic. He is no longer with us so my great aunt and uncle have them. thank you for your time. i also have some Walther and other pics and me in my visor with polish Calvary sword
