I started off with a Garrett ten years ago, wasn't too bad had some good finds, since then I have had two more detectors, both are C-Scopes, the latest one I've had for three years, cost me around £450 and has been worth the money in my opinion.
But... I had got into the habit of turning up the discrimination too high, found some great stuff but missed a lot, just trying to avoid shrapnel. Anyway, recently I have returned to some of my favourite areas, mainly around trenches, and searched on all metal, found a lot of good items that I'd missed.
Which detectors do you use, and anyone reccomend a better one than the C-Scope?
Cheers,
Steve
I have this listed here for sale, when this sells, 25.00 of it will go to the forums as a donation to help keep this great web site going on.
I have put a great amount of detail into this tunic, it is correct in every way, every thing is hand sewn with original period threads.
It would make a great filler for someone that wants an SS tunic, and not being able to pay the 8K plus price for one..
Its is a Germania tunic, with the proper SS 2 collar tabs, Germania cuff title, and correct multi-piece armband, and sewn in single NCO single shoulder board, and correct rear belt ramps.
I had this listed earlier, and wanted to change the pics i had listed, could not do so, so i closed the ad, so i could put new, and better quality pics for viewing.
This is an reproduction tunic, but i have put quite a lot of hand sewing to it, to make a great tunic.
I believe this is XX-LARGE IN SIZE.
I can take an paypal payment, that way its easier, and i can make the payment to Adrian at the same time also.
The cap, brown dress shirt, tie, and mannequin does not go with the auction, they are used for display only.
Thank you
Brian
I found this at a show and would like some more opinions on it.
Cheers

This is a single decal model 40.
Maker ET size 64. It has been double decaled one original over another during the war. Chinstrap tape repaired by the vet after the war. I have left it as is.

Picked these up at another garage sale,,,. They are M1 helmets but without the interior number stamping and different country. On one of the helmets, there is a red stamp on the left side (inside) of the helmet. It looks like 1953? The liners are different in color(?) ….not sure,,,any thoughts are welcomed. r/ Jim

Not sure of these two helmets, one has a soft finish and the other a textured finish. The interior looks different than the others I have. Are these post war german helmets? THNX!! r/ Jim
