Fake alert Fake WWI Balloon Wing Group at Auction

Since I have already posted an example of this wing in the fake section, I figured that I would post the photos of yet another group featuring this monstrosity in its own thread. These LeBreve wings are total garbage, and that is the nicest thing that I can say about them. This firm did NOT produce wings during WWI and in fact, I am fairly confident at this point in my research, that the name is total fantasy...as in never existed. I suspect very strongly that these are being made in Arizona by a certain shady character.Be careful!

Please post your thoughts on the patch...myself, I am not liking it at all either. It is my opinion that it itself is a modern fake aged to look old. This is nothing more than a pieced together group of fakes (except for maybe the photo) and I hope no one drops the kind of cash on it that is required to buy.

Gentlemen i have a grand cross of the order of the german eagle, i do not know if it is original or a post war repo. I was told it might have come out of austria in the mid 60's, i would appreciate any help you can offer.

NEED HELP with Feldmutze

Hello,

I'm new here and was wondering if there was any repro officer feldmutze with single button in feldgrau? Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Wanted: WANTED: POSP or PSO scope with SVD mount.

In the market for an authentic PSO or POSP scope with the SVD clamp-on mount. Does not have to be Russian made, Belarus is good enough. Preferably black color, but doesn’t have to be. Just looking for a good price.

I know plenty of places where i can order these, but if someone is willing to sell theirs for a good price, I’m all ears. Needs to have the rubber eyepiece with it!

Greets.

Should’ve know better…

The other day I stumbled upon a display of militaria for sale at a antiques shop. The guy had various stuff from all era’s and a few daggers and badges that were marked fake. What caught my attention were 2 German Lapel pins which I did not have in my dorment collection. I haven’t bought German gear in almost 20 years mainly switching to U.S. Civil war, USMC, and Japanese stuff. The Lapel pins were a High Seas fleet badge and a Veterans SS pin. They were both claimed to be orignal and in the LDO paper. I was suspecious but wondered if fakes of this quality were being made of these smaller collectables?

Anyway, the shopkeeper says his stuff is 20% off and I go ahead and bite. You know the story already….. I go online and find the SS pin for 19.99. The thing that really bugs me is that now I question some of my other pins I bought in the early 90’s some from Manion’s even. What a bummer……

Semper Fi,
Bob

RLB helmets with different size decals

Alright, so I should have gone to work today, but I have been trying to learn how to use the camera and never made it out of the yard! Anyway here are 2 very similar pieces, same shells, same paint, and similar liners (the one with the clip chinstrap has the standard size decal). The first picture is the large (standard size) decal and the last picture is the small decal (den kleinen Stern). I have attached a page from the German language Baer book that has a period photo of the Kleinen Stern, so yes, they did exist and this is real. Hope you like it. Cheers, Jim G.

Hungarian/Berndorfer M17 SD reissue Heer

I am home alone today, trying to learn how to use the camera, so here is another relatively unusual helmet. It was sold as a KM, but is really a Heer with a toned decal. In the last photo you can just make out the "64" size stamp, but there Berndorfer Bear, which is present, is just too faint under the reissue paint to show up in the picture. Hope you like it.
