Hi... although I have placed a price on this item I would however really much prefer to exchange it for one (or two if need be) WW2 belt-buckles of a similar value.
This is a very interesting and rare, genuine WW11 POW-made ship in a bottle. The ship is flying both the Italian flag and a Swastika. There are two Italian names inside the bottle... A. Pedeazoli, presumably the maker and written on the tiniest piece of paper and glued to the inside of the bottom of the bottle, and on another glued piece of paper is the name 'Lotto', possibly the name of the ship.
The bottle is triangular with a glass & cork stopper. It's about 12 inches long and has the message "This Bottle Must Not Be Used As A Food Container" moulded into the glass. The ship itself is probably a naval training ship, and it is displayed either entering or leaving a harbor. In the background there are buildings, etc. and a small yacht. The whole has aged beautifully and is in perfect condition. If you would like to see more photos or ask any questions please contact me.
This is a very fine and beautiful ship with lots of rigging and detail, which I have had in my collection for some time now. It comes with a solid wooden stand. The reason that I would like to part with it now is that I want to start collecting belt-buckles... Cheers... Hansi
Hi, all. Just saw this piece for cheap and wanted to get it for a collector friend of mine. I was wondering if anyone could tell from these pics alone if it's good or bad. I have my own example to compare and from what I can see it looks correct, but I'm not keen enough to be sure by just these pics alone or without seeing it in person. I asked the seller for additional photos, particularly of the inside of the armband, but haven't received them yet.
Thanks for any help :)
Best,
Adam
180546389783)this one deliberatly aged or war aged patina.my gut feeling its a fake.the guy is nt commiting himself to its authenticity but hints at it being a good one.no reserve on it, is i think a givaway ,but who knows ,will as usual be interesting to hear others opinions /lv
I always wonder are any of the german soldiers that wore some of my helmets still alive.i would estimate that at least 1 in 10 who went to war wearing the german helmet are still alive today, has anyone ever heard of a named helmet being traced back to the vet soldier still living,?lv
Hi, guys. Just wanted to get your opinions on this 25 yr. Civil Service cross... I've wanted one for a while now and was going to get this one. I'm certain it's genuine, just wanted a little feedback on it. It looks like it retains a whole lot of it's finish/frosting and is in good condition. I can't really tell if it's the photo or some kind of blemish or factory defect on the upper right side of the top of the obverse of the cross.
The price is $60 which I thought was a pretty good deal (all incl, shipped to the USA from Germany.)
I was also curious if there's any way to tell if this cross and box are an original pair with the cross in fact being made by the maker that is named on the box? Is this possible to tell or were the suspension rings stamped on these? My feeling is that it may be a bit like the mutter kreuz in that one can't really ever tell.
Anyways, thanks for any thoughts, info or feedback :)
Best to you all,
Adam
