I bought this a while ago, year or two after I started collecting. One Thing that really throws me off is the hing.
I saw a ww2 dealer site with the same hing, but that is the only one like that I have seen.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me little bit about the hing and weather the badge is real or not.
there is little makers mark which i am concerned about it says L/13
Hi guys I have a chance to buy this intersting piece which is sold as original..But I have many doubts, cause I heard about older fakes with the same marking. Don´t you have any opinion? Thank you very much for your comments.
If this doesn’t belong here, please let me know. I didn’t know where to take this.
The blade measures 14 ", the scabbard is all wood a dark wood of some kind. It’s inscribed with Delores Samar PI, Delores is a town in the province of Samar in the Philippines. From what I can tell it’s a sangot knife used to cut coconuts from trees?
It’s from my fathers collection, I don’t know if it’s WWIi vintage?
Hello Gentlemen,
I was given this item a few days ago by a market trader. He reckons that its a Russian Wehrpass from 1941. Having absolutely no Russian ( I’m not sure if the market trader had either) I’m at a loss. However it seems on the left inside page - top right a picture is missing - perhaps a small I.D. pass. Closed the pass measures 8cm x 6cm - open 160cm x 6cm. Any information on the item welcome.
Cheers
