Which 7 batsmen would you have chosen if your team was to bat 1st on that day 1 Sydney green top?

Chose from the current bunch of players around..

This would have been my batting line-up-

1.Sehwag - I'll happily take his risky and quick 20-30 odd runs. Worth the risk, his edges flying all over may just unsettle bowlers

2.Smith -(He's a fighter, i really have huge faith in him )

3.Dravid ( will rate him just above Kallis as the most solid defensive batsman in the world)

4.Tendulkar ( Would definitely love playin on that kind of a wicket, true bounce.. He would produce breath taking strokes, my key batsman on this pitch. He fires, my team scores 300. Enuff said )

5.Pieterson ( Just like Tendulkar, a wonderful stroke maker and would enjoy the true and good bounce of the pitch , another key man. I would expect him and Tendulkar to control things there in middle order.. #4 and #5.. my main weapons )

6. Hussey ( Reason why i am playing him at #6 is because he's just fantastic at playin with the tail enders. He can give good support to my aggressive batsmen and also get the maximum out of my tail enders. A lot of trust on Hussey there)

7. Boucher (I had the option of giving the gloves to Dravid and play an extra batsman but on a wicket like this where a lot of edges will go behind, i want a specialist keeper. He's another fighter and that's all i want., plus a great wicket keeper )

Courage and determination matters as much as technique which i believe is an over rated term. These guys i believe have it to tackle the tough conditons!!!

GIMME YOUR TEAM-
Would like to know your thoughts. There was no bias against any team, i thought a lot and have picked the best 7 in my opinion )

Category name ?

I believe that we want this category to include the Милиция/Militsiya/Police, and not the Ополчение/Opolchenie/Militia.

The other organizations listed (GPU - OGPU - NKVD - NKGB - MGB - MVD) are transliterations of the initials in Russian. So, the transliteration for the last one in the list - "Militsiya" - might be better. What do you think?

"CHEKA" ("Cheka"?) has some similar problems, but is unambiguous and in common usage to refer to only the security service. It is also the sound of the initials "Ч К". Anyway, no one will think we mean "lynchpins", "cotterpins" or "(bank) checks".

Not important, probably.

US Helmet Scrim

Hi everyone,
I was wondering where I could find some scrim that would be suitable for my M-1C Helmet. Or is there any way I can make my own? :)
Any help would be appreciated.

Also, while I am here, is there anybody here who knows about a good website that explains US WW2 equipment well?
Thanks for all of the help! :)

—WW2 Japanese True Battleship Binoculars

-----Hi,,,Hope this is the right area to post this. New to your forum and am looking for info about some Japanese WW2 Warship binoculars that I inherited. They are app. 26 inches from end to end and are 20x3. The words Nippon Kogaru Tokyo and J-BJ are on a tag with other Japanese characters and #s. Included are the tripod, the large cast and machined swivel stand. Also, all the custom fitted cases as well as a few extras. Everything appears to be in mint condition. An uncle worked directly under MacArthur at the end of WW2 and brought them home with him and they have passed down to me. I am fairly computer illiterate and cant post pictures but can E-mail pics to interested parties. Thank you for your attention.....Olredalert

Question I need help Identifying this GebisJager Hat.

Hey, Do you guys think you could help me identify this hat? I’ve never seen a German Military hat like this ( Because all of the ones ive seen are Wool) and this one is not made of Wool. Theirs a Edelweiss Badge on the left side of the Hat. I know for sure that its real in some way or anonother because it was my Great Grandpa’s Hat, and he fought as a Geibersjeiger in WWII. Their is also a stain that is splattered all over the hat, its a Red-ish Brownish color, So made its a Blood stain or Something?
But im not sure if this is just a Civilian hat and he just put the Edelweiss on it , or if it is a Military hat?
