Non-blued PPSh-41

Deactivated, and dated 1943. I bought this from RytonArms, and I’ve seen another non-blued example previously posted on here by a member who also bought theirs from them. Other than that, I’ve never seen or heard of non-blued examples- is there any known explanation for this? My theory is that this is a product of rushed production, in order to get weapons out of the factories and into the hands of soldiers as fast as possible. Bluing seems like a part of the production process that they could afford to bypass, I assume it’s only practical function was to prevent corrosion?
Can anyone tell me if this also adds/detracts value? I personally don’t think it looks as nice as a blued example, but I didn’t choose when purchasing.

I apologise for my poor photos, my camera’s dying. Hopefully soon I’ll have it fixed and put up some good pictures of my collection.

Legal Eagles!

Guys,

Not quite Boston Legal but it appears to me to be an argument about potatoes and such like! No doubt would appeal to Baldrick!

It is local piece and shows the lawyers emblem in the letter head, one I’ve not seen that often!

I think it continued after the war as I have some post war stuff that could well be the same issue!

Regards

Jock:)

TT-33 Tokarev… help with missing part?

A cylindrical part (a screw?) has gone missing from my deactivated Tokarev, please refer to my (bad) pictures to see what I refer to. I have no idea what it’s purpose was, or how it got lost, but it can’t have been of much use- this is my 2nd Tokarev, the same happened to the first, which I sold because of said fault. You might think I’m crazy selling it because of such a small imperfection, but little things like this drive me crazy… I’m a perfectionist with OCD. The first time I lost a part, half of whatever it was seemed to remain in the cavity- though this time it’s gone entirely. Can anyone please enlighten me as to what it is, and if this is common? I’d also like to know if I can get hold of a replacement (which somehow I think is a long shot)? If not, I may end up selling it just to go and buy another. :(

American Bazooka Practice Round?

Hey guys. Came back from my towns annual gun show with a few items. I bought this because it was considerably cheap(50 dollars). Was that a fair price? Any info is always appreciated. Also, as a weird little bit, I had at least 7 people ask if they could buy this. Is this common?

Japanese Arisaka Bayonet

Hey guys, just got back from my towns annual gun show. :) I found a few other items( L1A1 bayonet, bayonet bible) and wanted to show you this. I bought it for 65 dollars. Was that a good deal/what is it worth? I think the maker is kokura. Any feedback is always helpful. Thank you.

Mg81z

Hi,

a friend of mine has found a MG81Z. I´ve some questions about this weapon.
Where is the serial number? Is it possible to find out the types of aircraft using this gun from the serial number?
Are there interested parties for this weapon?
I add some pictures he sent to me.

Cheers Greg.

A progressive trio of SA

This is perhaps to some members an interesting progressive display of three SA’s, as it shows the same three same and exact roundels in differing conditions of wear (silver washed, plain brass and nickle silver on brass), attached to two different brass boxes.

The first image I think shows the early days of this buckle and the third image, illustrates what I personally think is a quite remarkable and striking style of SA eagle and swastika.

Regards,

David
