Advise needed on Japanese/Thai Helmet

Just picked up a jap/thai helmet today for $75 u.s. Bought it on a whim, but it came with a money back offer from the gentleman that I purchased it from. Is 75 to much money for this type of helmet?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Imperial German/Bavarian Enlisted “In Treue Fest” Buckle

Hi, guys. I’ve seen these before but just saw this one going for $45all incl. and thought I might pick it up. Looks in nice condition and I just really like the look of it. Anyone else have one of these or comments on this one?

Best,
Adam

SS M35 ET double decal 39 dated

Been a while since we’ve seen a one looker SS here, so here you so, study hard guys.

This is a textbook M35 double decal SS ET 64 lot number 4389 which puts it firmly into 1939 as it’s Braunschewig liner date and dome stamp clearly attest. The condition of this one sets it apart. The helmet was picked up in Atlanta from the veteran directly.

Enjoy gents.

K98 short dress bajonet

I doubt about the authenticity of the bayonet.
The bayonet has no finish anymore (or never had)

What you think of this bayonet?
Good or Bad?

Thanks!

NSDAP 25 Year Long Service Medal

Dear Member

If you have an interesting story about this medal, please let me know. I have no weight, but it is heavy (solid)

NSDAP was formed 24th February 1920. So it must be one of the last produced medals in the war, if it is truly authentic.

Greetings
Martin

Close encounters of the LANC kind !

Hey all

Well I wasn't expecting this at the start of the weekend.

Ibstock Country Fair was on and I had finished the gardening so suggested to my Mrs we take a trip down there, see what it's all about. I checked on the website and discovered that there was a FLY PAST BY A LANCASTER !!!! 'in the afternoon'.

We got there about 1pm and discovered the fly past was booked for 4.45pm.

The time arrived and I am there, ready, with my 300mm lens on my DSLR........shutter set to 'continuous' shot.

Eventually the Lanc came up over the horizon, turned left a smidge and flew right over my head.

The sound of 4 Merlin engines from only about 1000 foot away is just amazing. I went all goosebumps and said some very poignant words..... '*&c^ me !! What a ^*%$ing FANTASTIC aircraft !!' cool militaria cool militaria

It was brilliant. He only flew past twice but that was enough for me to get 134 pictures :D :D Every 10 seconds or so I'd re-focus but apart from that had it on continuous shot :)

Enjoy these pictures of one of aviations truly majestic beasts.

I RECOMMEND you enlarge 9, 10 and 13.

Need help! Soviet Mosin Nagant PE sniper rifle

Hi comrades!
I need some help regarding a newly bought PE MN rifle.
I'm quite sure it's a repro scope and mount fitted, but damn they look good. Do you have any ideas how to identify repro PE from the originals. Usually there should be proof stamps on the mount, right?
How do I identify if the bolt is new made? It looks a bit rough, but if it's a repro it's good. (actually, the repros seems to be even better that my bolt)
I'm aware that a PE would probably have a hex-rifle to it, that's one concern.. The rifle is dated 1938 but not "C" or "CH".
The whole rifle got the same number, but I think it's refurbished, but it don't have the usual "box with diagonal line". But it got a "diamond" and the numbers "55".
My guess is; Refurbished M/N with ebay bolt and accumounts.com scope and mount. But now i see the adjustment "blobs" are different between my scope and accumounts...

Is it a difference when zeroing a original and repro scope?

Please tell me if you need more pics.
If you are kind I'll post pictures of my SVT38 (non refurbiushed)

‘Enemy Coast Ahead’ Guy Gibson

Just read the uncensured version of this truly amazing book while I was on holiday.

It has to be one of the best wartime reads ever, made even more poignant that Gibson didnt survive the war

A true classic written by a true warrior
