This is the best photo I have at this time however, am hoping to take a series of better ones.
Obviously a Honved item (the seller offered it as "Italian"). The Hungarian inscription translates to "smal tank", and that is what this smal crate (27×20x12 cm) contains. Second picture shows the maker mark on the lid.
The 7M might refer to the liquid to be stored in the tank, but what was it?
Anybody know where I can get more info on this subject?
I picked this up just yesterday and the gent who sold it to me said his father had it in a trunk with other items from his tour in the west. He had never seen it before. I paid 20$ for it. Take a look at the photos let me know your opinions. Junk, real, bone, ivory, horn, plastic, micarta, old, new just let me know your opinions.
There are some numbers embossed into the leather in the center it looks like "joa" with 1943 just under. But I just saw above the "joa" is the German eagle with a swastika in it’s claws, it’s hard to see in the photo. Also on the right side of the holster is a larger P38
