St Lo August 2010
Managed to get a pass-out for the afternoon whilst on holiday. Trip to my usual haunts yielded little more than the usual shrapnel but one or two finds were a little moreinteresting. Rounds are German MG 34/42 with the links still in place. Almost certainly from MG pit in front line of US advance into St Lo. Also found a handle off what looks like an Ammo box so am assuming that more digging might have yielded much more by way of unspent ammo. Any ideas on what the sharp dagger like object might be?

Unusual Ring
I was able to obtain a very unusual ring, being constructed of a silver-type metal with a swastika of brass affixed to the flat top surface. Affixed atop the swastika is a brass Italian Fasces. The ring is magnificent, though no precious metals are involved and no identifying markings on the inside band. Is it possible that it may have a D.A.K. connection?
This is the best photo I have at this time however, am hoping to take a series of better ones.
Great-Grandfather’s WWI Uniform
My great-grandfather served in WWI in the Russian military. I have no idea what he did there, but I do have two pictures of him in uniform, so if anybody has any idea what his uniform means, I would be very greatful.
All I know about my great-grandfather was that his name was Isaac Kliban, and he was a Jew from Proskurov, now known as Khmelnytskyi. Here are the pictures:

Question Hungarian “small tank”
Just back from vacation, I’m looking for informations about this item. I got it on a flee-market in Austria.
Obviously a Honved item (the seller offered it as "Italian"). The Hungarian inscription translates to "smal tank", and that is what this smal crate (27×20x12 cm) contains. Second picture shows the maker mark on the lid.
The 7M might refer to the liquid to be stored in the tank, but what was it?

Question Japanese sword question
Did the Japanese aristocracy have children sized Katanas or other swords made for the kids?
Anybody know where I can get more info on this subject?
I picked this up just yesterday and the gent who sold it to me said his father had it in a trunk with other items from his tour in the west. He had never seen it before. I paid 20$ for it. Holster of unknown German origins
Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated.
There are some numbers embossed into the leather in the center it looks like "joa" with 1943 just under. But I just saw above the "joa" is the German eagle with a swastika in it’s claws, it’s hard to see in the photo. Also on the right side of the holster is a larger P38
