what do you think of this one? the seller notes he placed a ribbon on it (the wrong one!). but what about the medal?

As per the title , what is the best way to remove rust from an anodized SS scabbard without damaging the finish?. All of the laquer has gone already.

Another strange air field find. This one came from a dump site on a 9th / 8th air force base. I dont have a clue what its for but it looks like a really good find. Can anyone help please??

Its made from plastic and has 2 wires comeing out of the bottom. Sounds abit silly but it reminds me of a kind of bombs away type switch. The base it came from had B17s & B26 bombers.

Hi everyone can any of you think of the blanks on this base signe?? It came from my 8th air force base.
Line 1…….. BAS LINE 2……. L—IT or… L–IT LINE3…….. OFFI

So the top line is going to say BASE and the bottom line has got to be OFFICE but whats the middle line??

This is a photo of my Grandfathers brother Alrik Karl Valentin Hjelm, my uncle just started some family research and I saw this..

Alrik immigrated to America (Chicago, unknown year) from Sweden, first planing to go with his other brother (name unknown, my grandfather had 11 brothers and sisters...) but their father tossed one of the tickets in the wood-fired oven saying "Jag tänker inte låta jävlarna ta två av mina söner" - "I will not allow them bastards(USA) to take two of my sons". :p

Alrik struggled but created a new good life for himself in America and send this photo over to his family back in Sweden.

If somebody could identify what this photo is/means and what kind of uniform he was wearing I would be so thankful.
