Hi guys, this is the next one iam looking at ..
Morning,
How do I research a WW II Fallschirmjager member. I have a false name. Know he jumped into Norway and was a t the foot of Gan Sasso as part of a blocking unit during the rescue of Mussolini. His first two and middle initials were "A.A.". His ‘group’ received an engraved Swiss watch for the Norway operation.
He survived the war and was next seen in South America. He is associated, in some manner, with the Renault family in France.
Any suggestions are appriciated. Please contact me at "daveinsvaz@hotmail.com".
Just in,
a nice looking medal, origional ribbon, ring stamped 91 or 16 cant make it out..

I was moving some stuff around and pulled this out of the closet . I have been told it is a flag banner for a German Veterans Association. It is about 4′ by 4′ and someone cut the top off of it but it still looks good. Gary
This mix of rust is one of my last add to my collection.
The core is no magnetic; is possible this cross is a Paulmann & Crone ??
Thanks a lot for any info.
The Order of the Red Star is one of my favorite Soviet awards (I'm apparently not the only one who likes them :)). Here is a group shot of them together. 9 of them are documented, 10 are part of groups and 26 are researched. The lowest number is 69XXX (to a throttleman in the boiler room of a Black Sea Fleet destroyer, 1942) and the highest is 3732XXX (to a Private in Afghanistan, 1984).
I'm still thinking about a good way to frame these. I've just moved to a new place and the large white wall behind my desk is just begging to be decorated, but these screwbacks are hard to fit in regular display cases.
