Due to not many members being able to make an August Bank Hols weekend dig on the US Army Dump it maybe best idea to have another day dig on a Saturday. Can i have show of hands for Saturday 11th September 2010. As September can be either very good or very bad i think it is best we get in their early as possible and Sat 11th i hope will be ok for those who cannot make the original August B.H date. Hi all,i thought i would share some pictures i have. They were bought for me by my father in the 80's to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the battle of Britain,and have been signed by wartime survivors,and only 1000 produced.
The signitures are quite rare,to name but a few,there is Dowding ( on the Spit ) Douglas Bader and Bob Stanford Tuck ( on the Hurricane) and perhaps the most infamous Sir Arthur " Bomber " Harris ( on the Lanc )

Hi all,i have always had an interest in German arms and equipment and i finally got hold of a ground dug helmet. I would really like some info on it. There are no markings on it but there is evidence of some green paint on the inside,and some strange wire attachment where the strap should be.
I would be really grateful if anyone could narrow down a date,and style for me,thanks in advance MP40.
Ps tucked on inside was remains of a german printed news paper,cant read german but if anyone could translate for me that would be great:)

I was just wondering whether any of you thought that the Worldwide Arms sten bandoliers that they were selling 2-3 years ago were ex Israeli or ex UK army? Did the Israeli's have them at all and if they did were they home make or ex UK army stock?

Finally blanco-to do or not to do-that is the question....
