Buckle question

You must excuse me as I’m new to this thread also I am WW2 tank trooper 82 years old so not to good at this!
By chance I was googling for German buckle and found a request fo help in identifying an equipment buckle.
I cant find it now but the buckle pictured was NOT WW2 kit but a buckle from a ‘GRISWOLD SOCK MACHINE’, used to attach to the sock being made and a weight hung on it to pull the fabric down!
See if I can attach pic!
See buckle in bottom right of spares kit!

Need help! Thought on this NSDAP Flag?

Hi, all. I saw this flag at an auction and it was going cheap. I don't know if it's authentic, though and it was mixed in with a lot of other stuff...some good and some bad. What do you all think?

Thanks for the opinions
Best,
Adam

Need help! Is this relic part of a Nebelwerfer?

It was during my last visit to the Ardennes when I discovered this relic, in a hedge at the foot of the Elsenborn ridge near Dom Butgenback. I’ve never formally identified it so thought may be you could help. To me it looks very similar to the (bottom) propulsion unit from a Nebelwerfer perhaps a 42 (30 cm NbW 42).
As you can see it was fired and is now a hollow inert tube. The end where the charge would have screwed into place has blown out caused when it exploded. But for all this it’s in good condition considering what it must have gone through. I have pictured a .30 cal and K98 cartridge next to it just to give an idea of size, it’s also very heavy!.
In a museum I saw a couple of similar but there tubes were shredded caused by explosion, sadly they were not labelled.
For reference the last picture is of a similar looking tube I found on internet.
Thanks for any help you can give.
All the best.
LUCKYSTRIKE

My Medal Bars or Ordensspange

Ok here they are so far! All comments are welcome including questions about authenticity. I beleive all these to be real but Im not an expert. I only have one book on a relating subject but was not very helpful so I look at the construction, take mental notes, and compare. Im keeping an eye out for a complete book on this subject but I feel that Imperial stuff gets overshadowed by TR stuff. Anyway. Also feel free to post your bars here as well. I want to see them and also make comparisons with others that are out there. I will post more as they come.

OK. Heres where I got started. I picked each of these up for the same price as an EK2 would cost alone so I thought cool!

The metal backed one is marked DRGM. I dont know the makers of the EKs because I dont tamper with the ribbons.

Downloadable Air Defense Study (German language only)

Searching for info on the SHD, I stumbled upon this interesting free publication (no bootleg, by the way; it is an official German Government download):

BBK Hampe Der zivile Luftschutz im zweiten Weltkrieg

Originally published in 1963, its author was none other than Erich Hampe, the former deputy head of the TN.
This is a thorough 600+ pages study about the civilian air defense system in WW2 Germany covering all areas from from the SHD and LSW to the Werkluftschutz and even the Railway- and Postal Air Defense Services. (Please note that this is not about uniforms and insignia, but about the history and organisation of these services.)

German language only, but I thought it should share this for the benefit of the German-speaking members.

Very tired M35 combat vet

Here we have a decal-less M35 with what may or may not be its original liner. It has definitely seen some times that’s for sure. I’m very tempted by this poor old boy. The pictures are poor, I know and obviously I am contacting the dealer for lotnr and makers mark/size… Opinions, thoughts and hard truths are welcome. Also an honest evaluation price wise would be great.

SS visor cap on sale for what seems like insanely cheap, looks good too?

Hi all, I came across this SS visor on sale for $3,500. It looks period to me. Is that not insanely cheap?? Would this not usually go for about $8,000?... It is not in perfect condition, but still. Please correct me if I'm wrong, that is, if there's something about this hat that makes $3,500 a fair price.

Badges of the Mechanised Transport Corps

Hiya, here are my MTTC/MTC cap badges. These I think are a great design featuring a car tyre and crossed spanners which nicely demonstrates the role the ladies of the Corps forfilled.

First we have the earlier MTTC (Mechanised Transport Training Corps) badge. They are made of bronze metal like British Army Officers badges of the era.

Cheers, Lez.
