M40 44 dated

This is my second WWII Russain helmet and I thought it would be nice to post. I am new to WWII Russian militaria and this website has been a great help! Any and all comments appreciated whether they are positive or negative! I think the condition is particularly good on this helmet!

WWII Unknown Russian Tank Badge?

I have no idea what this badge is but I purchased it because the detail was just so good and it was inexpensive. I figure it is a repro but does anybody know what it is? I am pretty new to WWII Russain militaria. Thanks!

USNR WAVES uniform group

Hiya, Ade asked me to post my named WAVES group as some WAVES items were shown on the forum last week.

Her name was Lucille Dasbach, USNR 7038050. She joined up in 1942 and was sent to Cedar Falls, Iowa for initial training. Then sent to NAS (Naval Air Station) Lake Hurst, New Jersy, then NAS Pensacola, Florida back to Lake Hurst, NJ then to NAS Glenview, Illinois, then to Naval base at San Diego, California, then NAS Millington,(Memphis) Tennessee, and then to Kingsville then Naval Station Corpus Christie, Texas. In the meantime she had married a Navy man by the name of Morgan. She got pregenant and was discharged in 1954 after almost 12 years service.

I have her cap, tunic, & skirt which I will show here.

I also have her Navy blue shirt and black tie and two light blue ties, but these are in very poor condition.

As you can see, she was a Parachute Rigger.

Note that the name in the cap on the label is a different girl: Jean L Carling. But this came with the other items direct from the Veteran. Maybe she lost her cap and acquired someone elses?

Here is a nice link about uniform regs:

Uniform Regulations, Women's Reserve, US Naval Reserve, 1943

Cheers, Lez.

Need help! SS Sleeve Eagle: Authentic Piece or Repro?

I saw this SS sleeve eagle recently and just wanted to throw it out there for some opinions. I'm really not too familiar yet with SS insignia and know they're faked and reproduced quite often. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Adam

Need help! Totenkopf

Hi. I'm a new member here. I was just wondering if I could get a few opinions as to whether this Totenkopf is real or fake. I can't find the production numbers anywhere else, which has me worried. Also, the seller claims it is made of a silver mixture (.9%), but I thought most of these pins were simply plated with silver. The coloration of the prongs seems genuine, but I am unsure. Any thoughts? Also, what is the most common material originals are made of?

Wtk : SS / SD shoulder boards ????

Ok, I'm looking at these right now, and needing to know if these are Waffen-SS / SD shouler baords, or regular WW2 German police shoulder boards.

They seem like the ones i have looked at in the past on , and seem correct, but I'm no expert when it come to SS / SD items.

They seem like SS / SD 1942 police style boards, but they dont seem to be a matched set as the backing seems different on each board.

Thanks
Brian

Need Help Identifying This Piece: NSDAP Door Plaque?

Hi, all. I saw this piece at an auction and was wondering if anyone might know anything about it. The story is that it was taken off a burned door in Berlin and brought back by a U.S. Vet. It’s made of thin brass and measures 3.5 inches width x 10 inches length. It is also marked Arno Brexer.Berlin.cmdh.steinBilder Hauer Werksatten

Any help or info on what this is and possible worth would be greatly appreciated!

Best,
Adam
