I recently inherited a metal helmet from my grandfather. At the present time i can’t remember the story of how he came across this helmet, but i will add it later. I am from Canada & I am not sure if this helmet is Canadian or American. And i am unsure of the era.
The strap has been added by my grandparents, but i think the spring type strap on the left is original (not 100% sure tho)
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
First post to this forum, and looking forward to some info.
Ppicked this helmet up and was wondering if anyone could help me with its nationality.
Doesnt have a removable liner like the standard US M1 helmet.
The chin strap is also different. I don't think its terribly old.
I look forward to your replies
Ian
Can you guys tell me what they are.
I think one is a beltbuckle but it could be something else ?
the other something for cigarettes .I was told the marking on it was US military organisation?
I need to make some room in my cabinets so I am clearing out some items.
May also 'swop' these for German WW2 dated 7.92mm or other cartridges.
All cartridges have been fired and have a firing pin mark on the blast cap. They are ground dug so have a real relic quality about them.

Hi Guys,
I mainly collect Third Reich Militaria but quite like the look of the attached helmet. I am guessing that it is a fake but would appreciate it if some of you imperial buffs could cast your eye over it. I have been "spiked" by these helmets in the past.
Cheers

Just wondering if anyone might know what the current value of a WWII Ranger Diamond.
tip of a very large iceberg......(started during ww2)
Returned from the antique store today with 2 supposed World War II German patches. They seem authentic (their quality is good), though I have some reservations. The background color is almost forest green, which seems odd, as does the bright yellow color of one of the patches (see pic). I understand that the gray patch denotes private first class, but I am unsure what the yellow patch is (it’s purported to be an NCO Radioman patch, but I have never seen it before). It also seems to have some gray material sown underneath the green patch. Can anyone help with some info, and also tell me if they’re authentic? Also, where would these patches be worn on uniform? I assume too that they are Heer patches? Thanks a ton.
Ok, i just bought this, and here are some pics of it, It looks like the one that is on Roberts Collectibles web site, the same type screw on shoulder board button, the properly marked RZM tag. The only thing missing on the screw on shoulder board is the sewn on cloth disc to cover up the metal.
I really like the Numbered cuff title with the red borders, and the multi-piece constructed arm band.
There are no collar tabs, as i believe this is an unfinished tunic, and that would explain no collar tabs, and no cloth disc sewn onto the metal part of the screw on part of the shoulder board.
It has the correctly cut back, correct french type cuffs, it is marked on the inside, he read to me and explained what they are, and pics will be coming, and the markings are just what i have read, and have saw in these forums.
I just wanted to show off the pics i have of it right now.
