i have another one i need sum1 to check. I want to purchase this one from a reputable dealer from a online store. Can anyone give me the go-ahead on this armband?? thanks a ton!
Found this helmet and just wondering if it is authentic. The guy says it's from an Estate. It look's like the German or whoever, painted the 6th SS Mountain Division "Nord" symbol on it.
Could it be real?
Hi guys, as promised, some more photos of some of my models. I will apologise now because they will mainly be of ones that I have taken before but have re-taken in different lighting conditions.
I will post them over a few sections, so please bare with me guys.
So here goes.
The figures in this posting are as below:
British Para, Falklands War 1982. 120mm scale
RM Commando, Falklands War 1982. 120mm scale
I just had a quick question: what is the average asking price of an authentic SS M43? Obviously there are different types, ranks etc., but what does a typical one with cloth skull/eagle insignia go for? Someone I know has one, but I haven’t seen it yet. I just wanted to know what a reasonable price would be before I went and took a look. Thanks,
Matthew
check this out.... they are trying to sell it as Original Vintage WW2 wiking cuff title. I believe this is a bookmark style reproduction. Correct me if im wrong. the makers mark tag has been ripped off....another sign that it probably is not real. Unfortunately people are going to bid good money for this item and they will be very dissapointed when they do a little research! lol Thanks Ade for your memo....i now know what to look for.(i hope im right that its a fake) lol
Looking for info on a Dreyse M1907 pistol (32 acp) that has what appears to be a highly polished nickel chrome finish. I found tons of info on these pistols online but only saw pics of pistols with a blued steel finish. Is this something that was done later on by whoever owned it or were they actually produced this way?
Period sales catalog for F.W. Assman and Sohne. Great looking catalog with what looks to me to be the companies entire offering of Third Reich items. Bound in a spiral note book type binding. Very clear black and white photos in plate format. Broken down by orginization. Starting with Wehrmacht- ReichsHeer, Ending with Landesplizei. I would think this is pre-war because the German Navy is still refered to as the Rechsmarine instead of Kreigsmarine. A few SS items pictured but no dedicated page. Pictures reflect tears on the back cover where the cover has torn from the spiral binding. Great piece and there can not be to many around. Narrowing the focus of my collection so time to pass on to a collector who would enjoy it more.
Hey all
Just had a nasty snotty e-mail off E-bay for trying to sell inert, 70 year old, covered in muck cartridges as it 'break's their rules on firearms' :o :o
So, I need to find a site that doesn't have kittens if someone lists a rusty piece of metal that resembles a gun.
Anyone know of a UK Militaria auction site that doesn't object to totally inert and innocent cartridges being listed.
Thanks
Steve T
Hi Everyone,
A book dealer friend of mine found this medal at the bottom of a carton of books he bought. To it appears to be a spott / ridicule medal aimed against black french colonial soldiers in the occupied areas of Germany (Alsac, Rheinland) after WW1 and the dangers of German women fraternizing with them.
I got to wondering, how they used them, they are large 55mm without a hanging ring, were they a table piece, or perhaps stood up on the mantelpiece, laid on the sideboard, it hard to imagine they were carried around. Does any member have any further information, ran it through google without turning up anything new. My friend would like to know what its roughly worth.
Regards
