WWI Bullion Wing OS Chevrons

Here's one for the WWI wing collector. A very unusual set of overseas 'stripes' with a nice set of bullion wings at the base. There's clear evidence it was once sewn to a uniform sleeve. I've never seen its likeness before & I was wondering if some of our wing experts out there have. I look forward to your comments.

Buckle - fake?

Hey everyone,

I was on my way home from buying some ammo, and passed this old junk shop on the highway. I poked around the junk and found this buried in the back. I had a feeling that it was fake but I just couldn't give it up(passed over an arisaka bayonet for it). I'm hoping it is real and someone just repainted it - it has traces of OD green in spots as well. I tried matching it against some of the other threads but a lot of the detail is worn away.

Thanks, John

Honor Rings Anyone?

I thought that I would start a thread where members can post their HR's. I'll start the thread off with mine. It's dated 21/6/42 and attributed to SS Unterstrumfuhrer Heinrich Groll.

German Eagle Order, 1st Class?

Hello fellow collectors, here is a mint German eagle order just acquired from woodwork in Finland. The recipient is also known but date of issuance remains a mystery.

Any info on which cross this might be is appreciated. The case would indicate 1st order pre 1943, as it says "verdienstkreutz I. Stufe des ordens vom deutschen adler" and to my knowledge post 1943 did not come with this case?

Cross and case have never been switched and came together.

I posted these over at Wehrmacht awards too but thought you might enjoy them over here.

Best Regards,

Adren

cased mother cross in bronze

Hello guys
I have had some mother crosses but I sold them all.
After a time I meet this set, a nice bronze mother cross with a not conventional but contemporary case and was a love at first sight. In fact I make a little research and have had confirmation that it ’s a contemporary case for watches.
It comes from a German family.
