I have this Hitler propaganda knife I recently purchased from a local dealer he got it from a fellow whos father fought in Germany. A bit odd it that this knife is marked "Patent". The knife is in rough condition, with the corkscrew broken, the knife over sharpened as well as the leather tool’s end broken and other wear and light pitting. You can clearly make out Hitler, the "patent" mark on one side as well as the air planes over the world, and more embossing. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi all, can anyone tell me about this guy? Like what he did and so on. My dad just got this from the vets nephew and I cant read German. It also look's like there are blood stains on the right side of the cover, which is possible because the vet said he took it from a dead German :(

Here is a clean, crisp, minty A-SS general’s visor. It belongs to a friend who is graciously sharing it with the forum. If it were on my shelf it would be my most cherished visor. All comments whether they be slings, arrows or even praise are welcome.

In hand the velvet is amazingly pristine. I have no idea what markings are on the metal insignia, they appear to never have been removed, the crimps do not pierce the inner lining and I dare not pull the lining back to inspect the prongs.

I think this is nothing more than a beaded Luftschutz helmet. It has a black finish instead of blue and the SA insignia is painted on. I am not really a helmet collector, so is there anyway this is a period conversion? Thanks

i recently came into possession of 2 WW@ items, 1 is a 12 ft by 5 ft DAF Banner single sided with no location patch and a mess kit which is missing the spoon, im wondering what the difference is between the 2 kids of DAF symbols i see this kind all over http://www.svmilitaria.com/images/10918aa.jpg

why were there 2 versions, and why does one seem more common than the other, i was told that neither was really worth much either way due to the size but i was told that the 2 items belonged to 1 person and has stayed together all this time, so should i sell them as a set even though i have no idea who they would have belonged to?
the item that was with is a mess kit that im pretty sure is missing the spoon, id like to know what the id number can tell, maybe the year or place it was made? any info or help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Dear all,

I have located a POW camp, very close to my house, however finding any information on this particular site on the internet is proving very difficult. The only refferences i can find are the pow camp number and location. I run around this area a lot and keep seeing old parts of old buildings and lots of rubble. Which lead me to an internet search as I wondered if this was ever military related. I was right.

Would anyone be interested in looking over the site to see what we can find, I have no experience in looking for relics.
