Fellow collectors,
I just picked up a pair of U.S. jump wings at a local flea market and I need some background information. They are basic jump wings, WWII type, with a solid back (not stamped) with pin and clasp. In relief in a circle on the back of the parachute are the words STERLING BY (G)RBER". I believe the first letter is a "G" but could be an "O".
I could not find any information about this maker on the web, or really any maker for that matter. My question is : Is this a WWII issued set of jumpwings or 50's vintage medal? Any information anyone can furnish would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
this ring have inside inscription D.R.G.M AND THE "SS". Silver ring with enamel and a lot of silver oxide. What do you think my friend?
Help me!!!
i am able to purchase the Croatian SS helmet with double decal double wolf hooks and croatian red and white checker board.
i was told it is a very rare helmet, i don't have any pictures it has stamped # CKL64 4883, if anyone has any information on this type of helmet and some pictures i would be thankful.
the guy wanted $4000 but i lowered down to $2500, what would be the estimate on a helmet as this.
thank you all again.
Hi all,
Can anyone help identify these 2 please. The larger case is made of alloy, the smaller heavier one brass.
Thanks in advance, Simon.
Hi, I'm a beginning World War 2 collector at 15 years old. I have Asperger's Syndrome so I tend to become attached to a subject in life, and it appears WW2 became my "thing". Anyway, I recently Picked up a WW2 US Greatcoat that Caught my eye. The tag says 1945 as to when it was issued. And at the top of the coat near the collar, inside, it says:36R. Another VERY interesting feature that drew me to it was the fact that it appears to have some sort of large bloodstain at the bottom  I have a plan for it as well. I will be wearing it at the WW2 memorial in washington DC the next time I visit, so that I can bring it to a hallowed a sacred ground in honor of the person who's blood is on the coat. Well can anyone tell me more about it?
