Probably stupid WW1 fuse question.

Hello.

Forgive me if this is a really stupid question.

I recently bought a couple of British WW1 fuses. One says 85-1 one it, so I assume it's a number 85 timed/percussion fuse. The other is similar, possibly a number 80, based on a faint number I can see on the base (after the lowest part has been unscrewed).

I realise, of course, that neither of these fuses is attached to the shell, the business end of the apparatus, but is it possible that either is still "live" in the sense that the detonator could still be intact?

If so, how much of a problem is this, and is there anything I need to do about it?

Anyone collect Action Man/GI Joe uniforms?

If so please show!

Here are some vintage 1960/70s bits from my collection.
I had 11 Action men when I was a boy and a box full of equipment. It was all thrown away :(

I am starting to buy bits again

|M1 of European destination-Help needed to I.D it!!

Hi Guys.

Heres my latest M1, another bay purchase.

It’s a bit of an unusual one, here’s what I do know about it so far……………

It’s a Front seam, swivel loop, heat stamped 121A,with some evidence of being a Fixed loop in a previous incarnation.

Apart from this the rest is "Unusual" ( Non-US), here’s the mystery side of things……

The shell chinstraps. ?????????

The liner leather piece??????????

The liner has a Nylon webbing chinstrap, unusual fixings?????????

The liner is non US marked e.g. WSII or SWII, and 73,with OD 7 HBT, but looks KW issue apart from the manafacturers markings.?????????

Any I.D. with this one ,would be, greatly appreciated as ever.cool militaria

Haunstein und Kirchhof (Leipzig) FAD

Here is another FAD and which is often dismissed as DDR.

In my opinion, a very rare pre 1945 FAD !

David
