I recently purchased a home in Falls Church Virginia, USA. In the attic I found about 40 WW2 Newsmaps published by the Special Service Division, Army Service Forces, War Department of the U.S. Due to painting and moving I have not yet had the chance to sort them but all seem to be in good condition.

My dads dagger has remained hidden for 65 years, he fetched it to the uk in 1946, he was a tank driver in the derbyshire/staffordshire yeomenry, later the Inns of court reg. stationed near Newcastle.
I need to sell it as my mother is very ill, my wife wont have it in the house ! and my 3 sons are not interested.
I have showed it on the web in 2007 and although they said it was original but was not best to collect as it had a gua ? mark and a small screw missing and no makers name.
I have just advertised it on a militaria site in the us and probably asking way over at 4800 dollars but a local medal shop offered me2100.00 bp this week.
Any advice on selling it or info on it would be greatly appreciated

Hi all.I am considering buying a metal detector as i live very close to a beach and was wondering if any members had any advice on what would be a good machine for beach detecting.I was looking to spend around £100-£150.Also where can i look up the laws relating to beach detecting.As im new to it i wont be going further than North Wales just yet but dont want to break any laws either.Any advice will be greatly appreciated.:)
