Estate w/ many german wwii statues + medals + other

Hi all,

I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction..

I recently acquired many german wwii military collectibles which are mostly bronze style statues + medallions. I have many receipts of the items which were bought from 'manions' but its hard to match stuff upI am wondering if anybody could help me figure out:
1. How do I value these items? I know a little bit about wwii but not a ton.
2. What would be the best thing to do with them as far as selling or consignment? Can anybody recommend a reputable consignment place in the US?
3. Any guidance on how to tell if items are real or reproductions?

Feel free to private message me and I'd be happy to share some photos. I only took photos of a few of the pieces so far but I would love to get some opinions from experienced folks such as yourselves.

Thnx!

Replacing the red cloisonne

Tovarisch Boyesh;

I am in the process of getting some original items, that I may have re-pops of made, for use in re-enacting. Is anyone aware of a method of adding the red cloisonne to the re-pops to make them look more correct?

I assure everyone here, I have absolutely no intention of trying to pass any of these off as original, they are strictly for use within my re-enacting unit, rather than risk damage to true originals.

70th Anniversary of Dunkirk

This weekend marks are the 70th Anniversary of Dunkirk. Each night for the past few days the TV here has given coverage of some of the events taking place to commemorate the event.

Many of the surviving original "little ships" which took part in the evacuation 70 years ago have made the journey across the English Channel to France.

BBC News coverage

Some friends of mine are doing a march in full BEF uniform along one of the original routes taken by retreating British Forces in 1940.

My Uncle, Hugh Howard, Royal Army Medical Corps, was present at the battle. He had a very rough time there. He volunteered to stay behind to look after the wounded but was order to evcuate.

Cheers, Ade.

Question 3 place ribbon bar, Romanian?

Hi there the last ribbon on this bar is the Romanian medal if I’m correct? Does this mean that this would’ve belonged to a Romanian or could a German have earned this award please? Many thanks, Jay :)

Christmas 1914 Tobacco Tin

This may be my last purchase for a while as Iv'e just found out I have been made redundant:( Its bit of a selection including two Christmas 1914 tobacco tins, one of which still has the original tobacco and cigarette's. There are also accompanying medals. It comes from an old friend who knows Iv'e had my eye on it for a while.

Interesting field made Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub.

Here's an interesting Ritterkreuz on Philipp-Militaria, apparently field made from an EK1 with the Eichenlaub made from an Infanterie Sturmabzeichen wreath. A shame it's been de-nazified but unique nonetheless!
