Ok, i picked this up from a vet, he took it from the soldier as he put it, he said there was a black sheath, but he did not bother taking that, just the dagger as the sheath was attached to the body.
Over the years he had that leather sheath made up for it, to try and protect the blade.
I have a couple of SA, and NSKK sheaths for it in the safe.
And it was way cheap.

I bought this War Bond the other day. I like how even Disney got in on the war bond drive. Gary

I had a one off opportunity to visit the Beretta factory in Gardone Val Trompe a couple of years ago and managed to snap these two pics in their collection. Thought you guys might want to sneak a peek too.

Stg 44 and FG 42 just in case you aren't familiar with them.
Does anyone know when these were used and if the paint color had any thing to do with the training? I just found this at a shop the only markings are 2.:) Thanks this site is awsome.
Hi there guys,
Have been digging for 2 days and didn't find much of interest.
A lot of old rusty iron.
However i found some interesting pieces.
- A bottom of a 10,5 cm steel casing from the Germans
- A Dutch casing dated 1934.
- A Black thingy which i believe was used in a searchlight.
- A piece from a farmers working tool/device.
- Some other stuff.
The most interesting find was a piece of a Tellermine.
Not much but quite interesting thoughcool militaria
