Hi all. I recently acquired a HD&S M1917 trench knife. While there is loads of information out there on the LF&C manufactured version, there's not much on the HD&S version. I know Disston came up with original design, but that's about it.

Would anyone know the rarity of this version? I've read elsewhere that the HD&S is not as common. I acquired it through my manager along with some other items that belonged to his Grandfather. He was drafted towards the tail end of WWI however was never sent overseas.

If anyone could give me some information (value, rarity, etc.) I would appreciate it. By the way, this is one frightening weapon! Would have hated to been at the business end of it while in a trench!:o(

I'm new here and so far this site has been very helpful identifying some items in my collection.

I believe this is a 1933 SA Standard Dagger. Can some add some commentary about this? The inspection stamp marking indicates "Sw" which according to another site, shows Sudwest, is that the location of the inspection?

I'm not interested in selling immediately but it would be nice to know a possible range of value....

Any help would be appreciated....

What is the difference between the police swords with the "split handle" and the "full handle"? I attached pics.

i have here a panzer assault badge in bronze i know its original, but i dont know who the maker is does anyone know who the maker is and are these issued with cases? this one came with a case but i thought they only came with a issue packet.

hi
here i have a hitler youth badge in gold. I dont know if its an original or fake, the red rock and white rock not sure what it is but to me it seems to be original. The pin is like the ones you find on other ww2 german badges, 2 piece construction by the looks of it and it looks like it has aged. so please help me out.

Is anyone here currently in the British Army? I am trying to track down a current soldier to give them a "present".

We just left Iraq and our medics "officially" closed down their medical clinic. On the wall when they got there was a little sign that opened it in 2008. The British soldier signed the plaque and I had our medics and doc sign it when they left. I would like to send it back to the soldier as a former Iraq memento.

Obviously I do not want to post his name here but would like some active duty assistance in getting this back to him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I was offered this yesterday by a seller who said it was brought back by a relative on his return from ww2, he said it was a blackshirt fez, i have now been informed that its the type worn by mussolini himself, can anybody tell me for 100% any info on it good or bad, cheers Dave
