I am not too sure on this bar, as it is the only one I have ever seen in person. If anyone has a pic of one that would be great to compare.

My fellow collectors ,

This Ssh39 came in yesterday and I like it a lot.
I have four other ´39 helmets , but this one has something
that I have not seen before.

I bought this helmet because of it´s especially nice patina on the
outside.
I knew from the auction fotos that the liner was missing so I did not invest real big money.

This helmet has two features that I really find interresting :

All of the `39 that I have owned and still own had the usual LMZ
stamping in the rear.
This helmet does not have any and seems to never ever have had any.

Second feature is that this helmet features is the small leather tab
sewn to the end of the chinstrap.
All my other `39 have the usuall U-shaped metal fitting.

Anyway - Hope you like it !

I know that these are not Litzen, but I didn't know what else to call them, except perhaps collar tabs, but they clearly do not serve the same function as collar tabs originally did.

I have only noticed these on dress, and parade uniforms, so can anyone tell me...

A: What are they called in the Red Army?

B: What do they signify?

C: What is their purpose?

Picked up these SVT items from a guy locally. Was the most excited about the cleaning kit. The tool kit came with duplicate tools, so will trade or sell those off. The bayonet is a Tula, looks like a mid war type two blade. The magazines are always a welcome item, shot my SVT40 rifle on Wednesday.

The gas de-con kit is in excellent condition, will go with my earlier paste board example. If it's the real deal, worth it.

Got lucky for a change on the SVT items, seldom happens to me.

Hi, here are 2 Ushankas. I know condition is poor. They are cheap, and my girlfriend knows how to sew very well, so they can be fixed a little bit, and orig. stars I have can be added for display.

Of course the question I have for the experts, are they WW2, or post war? They look to me they maybe could be wartime Ushankas.

These are the only photos available, and I do not see any stamps or dates. The first hat looks to have real fur sheeps wool, and not the "fish fur" synthetic on the second hat?
